Airfield Engineer
About The Position
RS&H is passionate about aviation and seeks an Airfield Engineer to design and manage a wide variety of civil projects at airports. The role involves innovative design and technical excellence, focusing on completing projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Associates in this role have opportunities for career advancement and professional development, potentially serving as Project Manager, Project Engineer, or engineering support depending on experience. Responsibilities include leading, developing, and delivering projects of varying sizes and complexity, initiating and maintaining client contact, and assisting in business development. Specific activities include geometric design of runways, taxiways, and aprons; bituminous and concrete pavement design; stormwater and utility infrastructure design; coordination with airports, airlines, FAA, and other stakeholders; and construction administration/management. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a team that values innovative ideas to better serve airport clients.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or other professionally recognized equivalent disciplines from an accredited ABET university
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least two years of airport design experience
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain PE License within 6 months
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
