As an Aircraft Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness by completing inspections, repairs, and functional tests. Documents actions by signing-off and completing FAA and Valero required forms, reports, logs, and records. A primary requisite for this position is the ability to make unsupervised safety of flight decisions and possess a high degree of attention to detail. You can help achieve this goal if you can: Supervise aircraft maintenance at Authorized Maintenance Facilities. Perform complex systems troubleshooting so as to minimize impact upon flight schedule, maximize company resources, and ensure safety of company aircraft. Identify issues, analyzes and researches problems, formulates a solution or a recommendation for review or additional test and analysis. Make unsupervised, informed decisions that impact the organization’s financial and mission-related success. Answer frequent questions and mitigates concerns in an appropriate and professional way with the highest levels of management. Maintain complete and accurate aircraft, engine, and appliance records to ensure timely compliance with all inspections, component changes and airworthiness requirements. Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and repairs on aircraft in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations, FAA regulations, and company policies. Recognize and accomplishes tasks/duties to ensure availability of aircraft and provide a high level of customer service. Travel required for training and off-site monitoring of aircraft maintenance. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience as an aircraft technician on a turbine-powered corporate class aircraft while holding a valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certificate, including experience using electronic and internet-based technical manuals, maintenance, and trouble-shooting programs required.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) required
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or higher level degree - preferred
  • Gulfstream G280, G500, G600 experience preferred
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
