About The Position

The Aircraft Support Analyst serves as a key business partner to Aircraft Support, Engineering, Operations, and Finance, driving maintenance project budgeting, forecasting, cost control, reporting, and vendor coordination activities. This role requires a highly analytical, proactive professional who demonstrates initiative, ownership, and the ability to identify risks, solve problems, and improve processes while supporting aircraft maintenance and asset management programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, Engineering, Project Management, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–4+ years of experience in any combination of: Aircraft Support, Aviation Operations, Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Cost Analysis, Project Cost Control, Financial Analysis, Program Coordination, Project Coordination, Aviation Asset Management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
  • Budget management and cost-control mindset.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) Operations Experience supporting maintenance, MRO, aircraft leasing, aviation operations, engineering, or technical services environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, maintenance tracking, project management, or aviation systems such as Quantum Component Control, Sparta, or similar platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support aircraft maintenance, teardown, and related technical programs from initiation through completion.
  • Track maintenance project milestones, progress, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Attend project planning, kick-off, and status meetings to ensure project objectives, timelines, and costs are accurately communicated and tracked.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, maintenance providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support project execution.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, maintenance contracts, vendor proposals, invoices, and program records.
  • Monitor and maintain maintenance project budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze project costs including labor, materials, repairs, freight, vendor services, and other maintenance-related expenditures.
  • Track budget versus actual performance and identify cost variances, trends, and potential overruns.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance summaries.
  • Partner with leadership to recommend corrective actions and cost-control measures when budget risks are identified.
  • Continuously update project forecasts based on evolving maintenance requirements and scope changes.
  • Manage and monitor the invoice approval workflow for aircraft maintenance and support programs.
  • Create purchase orders and support invoice reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Finance, vendors, and partner organizations to facilitate timely payments and issue resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, documentation issues, and payment exceptions.
  • Assist with project final project cost reconciliations and cost accruals.
  • Generate and distribute operational and financial reports related to maintenance projects and aircraft support activities.
  • Analyze project performance metrics, spending patterns, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Audit system data and work orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Leverage Excel and reporting tools to provide insight into maintenance costs, project status, cash flow, and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Take initiative to solve problems, investigate discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain procedures supporting project cost control, reporting, and aircraft support operations.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership.
