Under direct supervision, the Aircraft Placard & Part Making Tech I is responsible for creating and producing placards, identification plates, vinyl spray painting masks, and performing wire stamping, which may include final placard installation. This role requires the ability to read and interpret Completions customer specifications and engineering drawings to determine the proper color, font, dimension, and materials. The technician will utilize software such as Adobe Illustrator, PDF files, and Gerber Omega for drawing, layout, and production, and operate sign cutting equipment for masking. Key duties also include producing foreign language placards, maintaining meticulous documentation for FAA compliance, and using precision tools for verification. The position involves operating various programmable equipment, performing daily maintenance, adhering to standard operating procedures, adapting to schedule changes, contributing to process improvements, and managing department material inventory to support aircraft schedules.
