About The Position

Join RTX as an Aircraft Operations Aviation Intern and gain hands-on experience in corporate aviation. Reporting directly to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the intern will work with experienced mentors to support projects and daily tasks, learn about corporate flight department operations, and develop skills relevant to a career in aviation. The internship is onsite in East Granby, Connecticut, and the position is eligible for relocation. Applicants must be U.S. Persons and remain actively enrolled in a STEM-related degree program throughout the internship session.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field and actively enrolled through the duration of the internship session.
• Private Pilot Certificate.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

• Instrument Rating.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Understanding of basic engineering concepts.
• Experience using programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with domestic and international flight planning and operations.
• Support aircraft maintenance and servicing activities.
• Contribute to customer service initiatives to ensure a seamless experience.
• Participate in aircraft and crew scheduling processes.
• Assist with flight planning and related documentation.
• Gain exposure to safety management systems and their implementation.
• Learn about security protocols and compliance with IS-BAO standards.
• Perform office duties and collaborate with team mentors on special projects.
