About The Position

Aircraft mechanical personnel support F-15 aircraft maintenance operations. The position may be based at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and/or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, and requires CONUS/OCONUS travel to support maintenance operations in the United States and overseas. The role focuses on aircraft sheet metal and structural maintenance, repair, modification, inspections, and mission readiness. The Aircraft Mechanic II performs moderate-difficulty F-15 maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and component replacements, with primary emphasis on sheet metal and structural systems. Work includes interpreting technical documentation, using aircraft-specific tools, supporting inspections and maintenance changes, documenting work, maintaining tool accountability, and complying with applicable safety, quality, security, and maintenance requirements. The position may include inspecting or guiding other technicians and leading assigned maintenance tasks. The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 0700–1530, with approved overtime or adjusted schedules when mission requirements change. The work requires travel and physical activity that may include extended periods standing or walking, climbing, working in confined areas, and lifting or carrying up to 35 pounds.
