The Aircraft Mechanic I - LUH-72 A&P performs maintenance on helicopters, excluding repair of systems according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures. This role involves removing and installing aircraft subsystem assemblies, servicing and lubricating aircraft, preparing aircraft for inspections, and performing scheduled and limited special inspections. The mechanic will also perform limited maintenance operational checks, assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems, and use and maintain operator maintenance on tools and ground support equipment. Additionally, the role requires preparing maintenance forms and records, removing and disassembling defective parts, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance. The position may also involve additional maintenance duties as requested, and the use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) when required. A safety-first mentality and adherence to company policies and safety programs are essential.
