Amentum is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 1 specialized in Airframe/Structural, Landing Gear, Launch/Arresting, Wing/Pylon Fold; Hydraulic/Pneumatic, and mechanical Flight Control Systems (EA-18G experience is required) to support U.S. Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island. This role requires a combination of experience in repairing engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty to meet assigned missions. The mechanic will make repairs to aircraft, troubleshoot malfunctions, and replace or repair components using various tools and equipment. They will also perform inspections, service aircraft components, and maintain maintenance records. Specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics, or other aircraft systems may be required. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensing is not required, but contractor employee technical proficiency is essential.
