Amentum is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic 1 specialized in Airframe/Structural, Landing Gear, Launch/Arresting, Wing/Pylon Fold; Hydraulic/Pneumatic, and mechanical Flight Control Systems (EA-18G experience is required) to support U.S. Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island. Aircraft Mechanics I must possess a combination of experience to repair engines, sheet metal, structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train, and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty, required to meet assigned missions. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing aircraft components and systems, reading and interpreting technical manuals, performing inspections, and maintaining aircraft in safe operating condition. The position may require specialization in various aircraft systems and may require Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensing, though it is not strictly required for contractor employee technical proficiency.
