About The Position

An Aircraft Mechanic I shall perform inspections, repairs, modifications, and installations on C-12 aircraft avionics, wiring, components, and flight controls. This role also involves operating ground support equipment and flight line vehicles. The mechanic must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals, and directives relevant to their job assignments. The Aircraft Mech I reports directly to the ACI Supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks as assigned/directed by Crew Team Leader, Lead man, Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Site Manager in accordance with instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives.
  • Evaluates aircraft discrepancies to identify proper methods for repair. Identifies necessary parts, materials, and tooling requirements to complete tasks.
  • Utilizes manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts, and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot, and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Inspects for corrosion, treats and repairs discrepancies. Performs touch-up painting and applies decals and labels. Prepares aircraft components for paint.
  • Complies with and follows established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production.
  • Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles.
  • Reads, writes, and interprets instructions, technical manuals, and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment.
