About The Position

The electrician/avionic aircraft mechanic I maintains and troubleshoots SOF specific MH-60M aircraft as it pertains to electrical and avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, weapons, and aircraft survivability equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • 6+ years' experience in rotary-wing aviation.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time supporting TDY assignments.
  • Must work second shift on a rotational basis.
  • Must have own toolbox and tools.
  • Experience using multi-meters and other electrical/avionic test sets.
  • Able to pass basic solder certification and vision testing.
  • Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment and vehicles on the flight line.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of SOF experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and trouble shoot aircraft electrical systems as needed or as instructed in technical publications and IETMS.
  • Use a multi-meter as well as other standard avionic test sets to maintain and trouble-shoot aircraft systems.
  • Read schematics, interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Work independently during travel and while at home station performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on systems being utilized by the organization.
