The Aircraft Mechanic 1 troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces MH60 functional systems including rigging flight controls, rotor systems, components, drive train, powerplant, plumbing and hydraulic units using hand tools, power tools, special tools, and test equipment. Works supporting the SOATB MH60 program at home station and while TDY. The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulics, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This worker will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and conducts flight line support.
