About The Position

The maintenance scheduler is responsible for planning and facilitating aircraft maintenance in coordination with our Maintenance Control team. The scheduler will also ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies to maintain aircraft worthiness and to minimize operational downtime, while also managing resources and expenditures.

  • Background in aviation or maintenance with related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Part 135 aircraft maintenance environment is highly desirable
  • FAA Part 135 experience is a plus
  • Formal training in aircraft maintenance planning or scheduling is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining maintenance programs and schedules, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance events with constant communication and coordination of our maintenance controllers and MRO branch managers, including resource allocation (labor, parts, and equipment), scheduling inspections, and organizing necessary travel.
  • Managing and optimizing maintenance resources, including manpower, parts, and equipment, to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Developing and maintaining a parts inventory system to ensure timely availability of necessary components.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable FAA regulations (Part 135), company policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Coordinating maintenance activities with other departments, including flight operations, dispatch, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Communicating effectively with maintenance technicians, pilots, and other stakeholders.
  • Identifying and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring aircraft availability and coordinating aircraft logistics between the maintenance department and flight operations.
  • Controlling and managing maintenance costs, including parts, labor, and travel.
  • Obtaining quotes for upcoming maintenance events and reviewing maintenance invoices.
