About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. The technician will perform all operator, data entry, and retrieval functions related to aircraft recordkeeping, including networking between stations and correcting errors. They will transmit and receive data electronically, extract data, formulate management reports, and create archives and backups to support military deployments. The position also involves a range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports, filing, typing, and performing database and systems analysis.

Requirements

  • Proficient performing all operator, data entry, and retrieval functions associated with aircraft recordkeeping.
  • Proficient in transmitting and receiving data via disk, modem, and other electronic means.
  • Proficient in extracting data, formulating and interpreting management reports, creating archives, backups, and data saves.
  • Proficient in performing a wide range of administrative duties such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing.
  • U.S. Navy Aviation Maintenance Administrationman (AZ) “A” School or three (3) years relevant military experience.
  • Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd or weekend shift as required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check Local Records Check and Credit (NACLC).
  • Must be eligible for Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Ability to provide appropriate proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • References and background check must be satisfactory to the Company.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to get a required clearance by the effective start date, if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records.
  • Perform operator, data entry, and retrieval functions for aircraft recordkeeping.
  • Perform networking functions between individual stations, including analysis and correction of errors.
  • Transmit and receive data via floppy disk, modem, and other electronic means.
  • Extract data, formulate and interpret management reports, create archives, backups, and data saves.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence.
  • File and type documents.
  • Perform database and systems analysis.
  • Ensure Technical Directive (TD) Compliance.
  • Manage Support Equipment Planned Maintenance System (SE PMS).
  • Maintain Aircraft/Engine Logbooks record keeping and reporting as required by COMNAVAIRFOR INST. 4790 Series.
  • Manage Aircraft Readiness Status Reporting.
  • Manage Naval Aircraft Flight Record (OPNAVINST 3710/4).
  • Manage Aircraft Inspection and Acceptance Record (OPNAVINST 4790/141).
  • Generate all situational and periodic reports required by TYCOM, TYPEWING, or MCB Pendleton, MALS-39.
  • Manage all current and future reporting required of MCB Pendleton, MALS-39 maintenance through Navy/Marine Corps systems (e.g. Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA), Naval Aviation Logistics Data Analysis (NALDA), Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Services Command (NATEC)).
  • Perform Ad-Hoc reporting as approved by the COR.
  • Certify entries in Aircraft/Engine Logbooks.
  • Perform duties for Organizational “O” Level maintenance.
  • Provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support documentation for H-1 Aircraft.
  • Document aircraft maintenance actions via logs, records, forms, and electronic means.
  • Ensure Technical Directive compliance entries.
  • Maintain Aircraft, Engines, and SE Logbooks.
  • Serve as Dispersed Technical Publications Librarian (work center), as applicable.
  • Utilize current management information system(s) to maintain aircraft forms and records.
  • Process readiness documents.
  • Administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program.
  • Verify aircraft utilization reports.
  • Perform other Administrative Aircraft Maintenance reports as required by Site Management and/or the Customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
