About The Position

United Ground Express is seeking a Full-Time Aircraft Fueling Agent at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This role involves performing aircraft fueling and defueling safely and efficiently, ensuring correct fuel loading and balancing, and operating fuel trucks. The agent will be responsible for accurate fuel transaction accounting, daily equipment quality control checks, and maintaining equipment in clean and functional condition. Team responsibilities include functioning well in a dynamic team environment, communicating effectively, complying with company standards, and maintaining a clean workspace. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, equipment care, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
  • Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to; drug screen, hearing and fueling specific color vision check
  • Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to perform a variety of physical activities including pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, according to training and best practices.
  • Responsible for defueling aircraft, as directed and in compliance with training standards.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Safely drive and operate fuel tanker truck and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
  • Function well in a dynamic team environment.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members to ensure operational success.
  • Comply with attendance, uniform, and general company standards.
  • Ensure personal and community workspace is well-maintained and clean.
  • Additional responsibilities based on operational need.
