About The Position

United Ground Express is seeking an Aircraft Fueling Agent to perform fueling and defueling of aircraft safely and efficiently. This role requires operating fuel tanker trucks and stationary carts, ensuring correct fuel loading and balancing, and maintaining accurate fuel transaction records. The agent will also be responsible for daily quality control checks and maintaining equipment. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. The role also includes general team responsibilities such as effective communication, compliance with company standards, and maintaining a clean workspace. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Must acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check
Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to; drug screen, hearing and fueling specific color vision check
Available to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.
Able to perform a variety of physical activities including pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
Ability to utilize radio equipment for communications
Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications.

Responsibilities

Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, according to training and best practices.
Responsible for defueling aircraft, as directed and in compliance with training standards.
Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
Safely drive and operate fuel tanker truck and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.
Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
Function well in a dynamic team environment.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members to ensure operational success.
Comply with attendance, uniform, and general company standards.
Ensure personal and community workspace is well-maintained and clean.
