About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the service and repair of aircraft fueling equipment to ensure "Best-in-Class" service for customers and stakeholders. The role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations on the tarmac within the aviation industry. Menzies Aviation is a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at over 300 locations in 65 countries, across 6 continents.

Requirements

  • Qualified Mechanic with 310T certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Must have own tools and be able to operate various power and hand tools safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be flexible to work all hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by operational requirements.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work comfortably with bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling various items.
  • Clean driving record with a certified copy of the Driver’s Abstract.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances and airport driving permits.

Responsibilities

  • Receives work orders and obtains necessary tools for repair.
  • Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing into the service bay.
  • Inspects parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts.
  • Repairs diesel engines, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems.
  • Obtains replacement parts, installing and/or making repairs as required.
  • Rebuilds assemblies, systems, etc. as needed.
  • Confers with Supervisor for complex repairs requiring direction or approval for ordering parts.
  • Completes work orders and provides status updates on open work orders.
  • Ensures safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
  • Performs additional duties such as changing batteries, tires, oil, and other minor repairs.
