Aircraft Fueler
About The Position
Menzies Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Fueler to perform aircraft fueling and defueling while maintaining a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures. The role involves using basic arithmetic with weight, measurement, and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions related to fueling. The position works primarily outdoors and requires comfort working in all weather conditions. Fuelers operate fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts, handle fueling hoses, and perform equipment checks and fuel transaction accounting. The role requires flexible availability for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment color vision test.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds while handling fueling carts and hoses.
- Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check and obtain a US Customs seal.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience is preferred, including a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Responsibilities
- Fuel aircraft safely and efficiently using fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts.
- Accurately account for fuel transactions.
- Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and keep equipment clean and functional.
- Ensure fuel is loaded and balanced correctly.
- Defuel aircraft as directed.
- Take reasonable care of personal and others' health, safety, and wellbeing in accordance with workplace rules, procedures, and training.
