About The Position

The Aircraft Fueler safely and efficiently fuels and defuels aircraft and provides related servicing at Pittsburgh International Airport. The role includes interpreting aircraft weight and balance loading instructions using basic math, accurately accounting for fuel transactions, and maintaining equipment and a safe working environment. Work is primarily outdoors and requires comfort working in all weather conditions. Various schedules are available, including 1:00 a.m.–9:30 a.m., 4:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., and 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. A driver license is required. Entry-level applicants are welcome and training is provided.

Requirements

Driver license required.
Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to interpret weight, measurement, volume, and aircraft weight and balance instructions.
Ability to handle fueling carts and hoses, including lifting and moving up to 70 pounds.
Must be comfortable working primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior relevant experience preferred.
Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently fuel aircraft using fuel trucks, hydrant carts, and stationary carts.
Drive and operate fueling equipment.
Accurately account for fuel transactions.
Perform daily quality-control checks on equipment and keep equipment clean and functional.
Ensure fuel is loaded and balanced correctly.
Defuel aircraft as directed.
Take reasonable care of personal and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing, following workplace safety and security procedures.
