About The Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft technician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. This position is located out of Langley Air Force Base, VA. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities. Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to: Service, repairs, and overhauls F-22 aircraft electrical systems to ensure airworthiness. Repair, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft electrical systems. Incorporate engineering changes. Replaces and repairs worn or damaged components. Adjust, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories. Read and interpret F-22 engineering drawings, technical manuals, electrical systems, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes. Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationship of circuits. Perform such tasks as making circuit analyzes, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Use complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices, may provide technical guidance. During periods of non electrical work, application of Low Observable material/SAS maintenance, or other TCTO's is required or such as directed. Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

Requirements

  • Fighter Aircraft/Attack/Cargo/Utility Helicopters or similar aircraft Avionics/Electrical experience required
  • Previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Air Frame and Power Plant, FAA certificate
  • Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to work overhead
  • Ability to use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist
  • Ability to perform Confined Space Entry
  • Ability to work extended work hours
