About The Position

This position involves performing scheduled and unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental, and related systems. The role requires performing flight line essential services as directed by the daily Flight Schedule. Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required. Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds’ load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures. The mechanic will have the authority to direct Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions and will provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians. They will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, while also receiving technical guidance from supervisors or higher-level technicians.

Requirements

  • Released from military service with an Honorable Discharge.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of approved O-Level training, AME School, manufacturer, or Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit for specific T/M/S egress systems.
  • Completed and able to document the appropriate T/M Navy Egress Class "C" school.
  • Minimum five years USN/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience.
  • Minimum three years T/M/S aircraft maintenance experience for the specific aircraft hired to maintain.
  • Three years T/M experience within the last seven years.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Possess or can qualify for a U.S. state driver’s license.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of Aircraft ejection seats.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of Aircraft air conditioning systems.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of Canopy systems.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of Canopy jettison/fracturing systems.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of Fire warning/extinguishing systems.
  • Experienced in the repair/troubleshooting of Onboard Oxygen Generating Systems.
  • Experienced in Aircraft environmental systems maintenance.
  • Experienced in Aircraft pressurization systems - troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft.
