Requirements

Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
Experience in any of the following: aircraft dispatch, air traffic control, flight planning, aviation, meteorology, or certified pilot.
PC operating experience in a professional environment including standard office suite.
Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in written form.
Ability to handle multiple customer requests simultaneously and accurately.
Work well in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) desired.
FAA Dispatcher Certificate.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for interacting with business aviation customers (pilots, dispatchers, flight operations, air traffic control) via telephone and email exchanges during all phases of flight planning and operations.
Create and disseminate computed flight plans including: assessment of weather conditions, NOTAMs, weight and balance, runway analysis, and aircraft performance calculations.
Relay sensitive aviation messages.
Provide logistical assistance for flight crews.
Provide customer account, software, troubleshooting, and training support.
Flexible coverage of multiple shifts in support of 24/7 operations, including holidays and weekends. The Flight Coordinator position is an essential personnel position meaning that you may be required to report for work during inclement weather.
