About The Position

SAIC is seeking experienced, former FAA TRACON Air Traffic Controllers to join their team as ATC Instructors. This role involves providing ATC, TSEW, TETRA, and RTF training and instructional services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Regional Training Site in Philadelphia, PA. The FAA is responsible for ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism in air traffic control, and a well-trained workforce is crucial. The FAA employs over 14,000 air traffic controllers who manage over 50,000 aircraft daily in the National Airspace System. To meet training needs, the FAA utilizes contractor-provided instructional services to train new and recurrent air traffic control specialists. The contractor's services encompass all training and support necessary to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers across all types and levels of ATC facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a FAA TRACON
  • TRACON experience must have been at a facility equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC Level-10 facility
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
