About The Position

SAIC is seeking experienced, former FAA Tower Air Traffic Controllers to join their team. The role involves providing ATC, TSEW, TETRA, and RTF training and instructional services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Regional Training Site in Denver, CO. This position is crucial for ensuring a well-trained Air Traffic Control (ATC) workforce, which plays an essential role in the FAA's responsibility of ensuring the flying public's safety and professionalism. The FAA employs over 14,000 air traffic controllers who manage the separation of over 50,000 aircraft daily in the National Airspace System (NAS). The contractor-provided services encompass all training and support necessary to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers, covering all types and levels of ATC facilities.

  • Experienced, former FAA Tower Air Traffic Controllers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ATC, TSEW, TETRA and RTF training.
  • Deliver instructional services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Train new air traffic control specialists.
  • Provide recurrent training to current air traffic control specialists.
  • Support all training and training program needs for FAA ATC facilities.

  • Earnings received as an ATC Instructor, ATC Training Instructional Supervisor, or Contractor Site Supervisor working on this program are EXEMPT from the Supplemental Annuity earnings limits for FERS retirees between the ages of 56 and 62.
