About The Position

OTC Industrial Technologies is hiring a hands-on, mechanically driven Air End Rebuild / Shop Technician at its West Chester location. The technician tears down, analyzes, and rebuilds industrial compressor air ends to restore performance and reliability. The role is based in a fast-paced shop environment that emphasizes precision, craftsmanship, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Compensation is $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

At least 2 years of mechanical, industrial, or compressor repair experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
Ability to stand, bend, and work with mechanical equipment for extended periods.
Ability to work productively with associates, customers, and vendors, with a team-oriented attitude.
Commitment to doing the job right the first time.

Nice To Haves

Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, pumps, or gearboxes.
Technical school education or equivalent hands-on experience.
Multi-craft experience.
Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Perform tear-down, inspection, and root-cause failure analysis of compressor air ends.
Clean, de-burr, polish, and restore rotors, cylinders, and end plates.
Reassemble compressor air ends to OEM specifications and tolerances.
Use precision measurement tools to verify component integrity and specifications.
Complete work orders, inspection reports, and rebuild documentation.
Prepare parts lists and estimate repair times.
Identify mechanical or process issues and take corrective action.
Support shop operations, including equipment maintenance, rentals, and general shop duties.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement, quality standards, and shop efficiency.
