About The Position

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Air & Emissions Field Specialist to support its air compliance team across company assets in Ohio and Pennsylvania. This primarily field-based role focuses on conducting inspections and essential field-level repairs, maintaining emissions inventories and supporting permit applications, and ensuring operations comply with state and federal air quality regulations. The specialist provides technical data and field support to regulatory and operations teams. The position requires extensive regional travel, approximately 70–80% of the time, to operating sites, as well as travel to regional offices and company headquarters in Morgantown, West Virginia. Overnight stays are required. The role involves regularly working in varying weather conditions and rough field terrain, and following company safety protocols and training.

Requirements

3–5 years of professional experience in air quality and emissions compliance, permitting, and reporting.
Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent technical background and experience will also be considered.
Strong working knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations, including NSPS OOOO, OOOOa, and OOOOb, NESHAP, PSD, and Title V requirements.
Ability to calculate emissions, apply emissions factors, and assist with emissions modeling as required.
Experience conducting or overseeing compliance testing, including source/stack testing and fugitive emissions monitoring.
Strong data collection, analysis, and technical reporting skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and complex permit applications.
Ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and environmental teams.
Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and prioritize tasks to meet state and federal deadlines.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
Willingness and ability to work consistently in varying weather conditions and rough field terrain.
Ability to perform the listed physical activities, operate standard office/computer equipment, and perform physical work involving up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Responsibilities

Conduct Optical Gas Imaging and Leak Detection and Repair inspections to comply with state and federal regulations.
Perform field maintenance and corrective actions on emission sources, including replacing gaskets, thief hatches, and other minor mechanical components.
Assist with preparing, submitting, and renewing air permit applications, including Minor/Major Source, PSD, NSPS, and NESHAP permits.
Track federal, state, and local regulatory changes and deadlines to maintain operational compliance.
Review field data for quality assurance and accurately upload and organize records in electronic databases.
Develop and maintain emissions inventories, compliance plans, and standard operating procedures.
Lead or support site walkthroughs, stack testing, and fugitive emissions monitoring.
Advise Engineering and Operations teams on process changes and projects that may affect emissions.
Participate in safety inspections during simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and follow company safety protocols and training.
Independently manage a schedule involving 70–80% regional travel across Ohio and Pennsylvania, including overnight stays.
