About The Position
Warren State Hospital, a public psychiatric hospital, is seeking reliable and caring, team-oriented individuals to become part of our dedicated Nursing Department. If you are an ambitious, confident individual committed to providing amazing resident care, this job is for you! This role supports patients who need guidance, care, and steady assistance throughout their daily activities. You will help them build skills and stability as they continue their mental health recovery.
Requirements
- No previous experience needed, training provided.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Nice To Haves
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
Responsibilities
- Assist, educate, and encourage patients in all activities of daily living
- Provide physical care and use approved lifting methods to position patients as needed
- Follow individualized care plans and support patients during their recovery process
- Respond to emergency situations and escort patients on and off hospital grounds
- Act as a patient advocate and support their well being in all care settings
