Aide - Child Development Center
About The Position
This role involves assisting in the carrying out of plans and teaching of appropriate educational programs, routines, activities, and experiences for children enrolled in the program. The Aide will support the Group Supervisor and other staff in the daily operations of the Child Development Center, ensuring a quality program for all children. Responsibilities include direct assistance to children in various settings, cooperation with staff and instructors, record-keeping, and maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of the classroom and other center areas. The Aide is also responsible for meeting child/teacher ratios.

Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out plans and teaching educational programs, routines, activities, and experiences for children.
- Assist and cooperate with Group Supervisor, other staff, and students involved in teaching or supervision.
- Assist children in the classroom, halls, lunchroom, play areas (indoor and outdoor), and on field trips.
- Cooperate with the Group Supervisor in temporary reassignments due to staff absences or changed attendance.
- Cooperate with Early Childhood Education Instructors responsible for teaching, supervising, and evaluating students.
- Cooperate with other Center staff to ensure effective assumption of responsibilities.
- Evaluate each child in the assigned group and maintain records of their progress for parent conferences.
- Provide input to Group Supervisors or lab Instructors on students.
- Maintain the general appearance of the classroom and assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of other rooms.
- Meet Child/Teacher ratio requirements in assigned areas.
