BBVA is seeking an AI transformation professional to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across Compliance and Non-Financial Risk. The role connects business, Compliance and risk-management needs with AI capabilities, taking opportunities from initial discovery through prototyping, controlled implementation, adoption and measurement of value. It is a practical, cross-functional position that does not require the candidate to be a software engineer or a career Compliance specialist, but does require an interest in Compliance, risk management and financial-institution controls. The position involves partnering with Compliance and Non-Financial Risk teams to understand processes, challenges and control needs, then designing, building and testing AI-enabled solutions with subject-matter experts. Work may involve Generative AI, agentic AI, advanced analytics and automation. Potential use cases include regulatory intelligence and change, risk assessments, AML and sanctions analysis, monitoring and testing, knowledge and research, management information and executive reporting, KRIs and KPIs, emerging-risk and issue analysis, policy and control-gap analysis, and automating information-intensive processes. These examples are not a fixed roadmap; the role will help discover opportunities and determine where AI can deliver value with appropriate controls. The role brings together Compliance, Non-Financial Risk, Technology, Data, Model Risk, Information Security, Privacy, Legal and other stakeholders. It assesses opportunity value and feasibility, develops and iterates prototypes with user feedback, supports adoption and integration into existing processes, and identifies reusable capabilities that can serve multiple teams. It also shares good practices and lessons learned, and helps teams understand both AI's practical capabilities and limitations. AI solutions must meet the governance, control and accountability standards expected of a financial institution. The role works with relevant teams to consider information protection, privacy, security, accuracy, testing, explainability, human oversight, traceability, model risk and regulatory accountability. It helps determine where AI can support professional judgment and where human review remains necessary, with the aim of improving risk identification, controls, analytical coverage, insights, process efficiency and productivity. The position is based in BBVA's New York Office. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.; BBVA will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
