About The Position

Tallwave is seeking an AI Systems Configurator to help the company become an AI-native firm. The role identifies high-impact opportunities across delivery, operations, and growth, then turns them into practical, connected systems and workflows that improve business performance. The successful candidate will learn how Tallwave operates, connect business strategy to AI opportunities, rethink existing ways of working, and experiment with new approaches. Working alongside delivery and operations teams, this person will support adoption of new ways of working—not merely introduce tools. Success is measured through business results such as lower delivery cost per program, earlier visibility into client risk and expansion, more reliable business intelligence, and increased revenue per person. A traditional software engineering background is not required, but technical fluency, systems thinking, and resourcefulness are important.

The role includes building and maintaining Tallwave’s company database and agentic workflows across its technology stack, improving operational visibility and reporting, surfacing client expansion and friction signals, and maintaining AI tools and their accuracy. The configurator collaborates with project management, operations, and program owners, tests builds on live client work before rollout, and presents opportunities and impact during quarterly AI reviews. The role also helps teams adopt AI-native practices through practical training and measures impact in business terms. Tallwave’s AI guardrails include human review of client-facing work and compliance with data retention rules and data/AI clauses in client contracts.

The position is open only to applicants legally authorized to work in the United States and living in the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, or Hawai'i. Tallwave does not provide visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience building AI or automation workflows used in production.
• Background in operations, solutions engineering, RevOps or GTM engineering, technical program management, or another role translating business needs into systems and solutions used by others.
• Demonstrated success turning ambiguous problems or opportunities into practical solutions that teams adopted and continued using.
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, including the ability to understand business goals, evaluate tradeoffs, and identify where AI can deliver the greatest impact.
• Genuine curiosity about AI, with a track record of experimenting with emerging tools, learning quickly, and applying new capabilities creatively.
• Hands-on fluency with Claude or similar LLMs, Claude Code, MCP, APIs, and automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Asana AI Studio.
• Track record of getting teams to adopt built solutions without formal authority.
• Excellent written communication and systems documentation skills, and ability to work with non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand Tallwave’s business strategy and identify opportunities to use AI to improve selling, delivery, and operations.
• Map current delivery, operations, marketing, and account management workflows and redesign them around connected systems and agents.
• Build and maintain Tallwave’s company database as a reliable, connected foundation for information about clients, engagements, delivery, and business performance.
• Build and maintain agentic workflows across tools including Asana, HubSpot, Claude, Granola, Google Workspace, Slack, Vercel, and Collective 54 Co-founder, using MCP connections, APIs, and automation platforms.
• Automate status reporting, hours against estimation sheets, meeting capture, intake, and leadership rollups.
• Surface client expansion signals and early signs of client friction to account management, and share client wins with marketing.
• Own and continuously improve Tallwave’s AI tooling, including prompts, skills, context, accuracy, and currency.
• Partner with project management, operations, and program owners; test builds on live client work before rollout.
• Present builds and opportunities at quarterly AI reviews with leadership and program owners, demonstrate impact, and help prioritize future work.
• Help teams adopt AI-native ways of working through practical training focused on work processes rather than tool features.
• Measure impact using business measures such as hours returned, cost to deliver per program, and adoption; retire solutions people do not use.
• Uphold Tallwave’s AI guardrails, including human review of client-facing work and compliance with data retention rules and data/AI clauses in client contracts.
