About The Position

Avaya is seeking an AI Solutions Demo Specialist to create and deliver high-impact technical demonstrations of its communication technology and Avaya Infinity platform. The role combines technical execution—integrating and configuring web technologies, AI solutions, and cloud services—with customer-facing engagement. The specialist will turn Avaya’s open-API architecture into polished, tangible experiences and explain how technical capabilities deliver business value to enterprise customers.

The position directly supports Avaya’s sales efforts, including weekly customer demonstrations at the Avaya Office Briefing Center in Manhattan, New York City. The location has some flexibility, but regular attendance for customer demos in the NYC briefing center is expected. Demonstrations support customer engagement, showcase expanding platform capabilities, and may provide working examples to address requirements in customer RFPs.

The role works across marketing, sales, and product teams to keep demonstrations aligned with current roadmap capabilities. The posted pay range is $105,000 to $135,000, plus a performance-related annual bonus and benefits. Requirements

• Command of front-end technologies to create visually polished and functional demonstrations.
• Backend proficiency using Node.js, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket integrations.
• Comfort with AI tools, large language models (LLMs), and agentic processes.
• Ability to learn and implement new libraries, SDKs, APIs, and cloud services quickly.
• Experience with Azure networking and Google Cloud, including identity management, serverless functions, and scaling.
• Proactive approach to version control and documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills for customer demonstrations and collaboration as a team player.
• Ability to translate technical features into engaging, customer-ready stories.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Prior experience in demo development, developer relations, or selling with demonstrations.
• Relevant experience at a SaaS company focused on AI-integrated tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy applications and develop AI agents to demonstrate Avaya CX technology and Avaya Infinity capabilities.
• Present technical demonstrations in high-level meetings with enterprise customers and stakeholders, translating complex backend logic into business value.
• Develop AI agents using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to showcase examples and use cases of Avaya technology.
• Rapidly prototype applications using Node.js and other modern scripting frameworks.
• Implement agentic workflows, LLM and MCP integrations, and modern AI patterns.
• Deploy and manage backend services across cloud-based and core-network-engineered environments.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align demonstrations with current roadmap capabilities.
• Create working demonstrations that help address customer requirements in RFPs.
