About The Position

Join Itron’s HR AI Enablement team to help shape the future of work through innovative and responsible AI solutions. Collaborate with HR leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders to create AI-powered tools and experiences that enhance employee effectiveness, streamline processes, and improve access to knowledge across the organization. Support solutions such as copilots, conversational agents, workflow automation, and knowledge ecosystems, advancing HR’s digital transformation while ensuring solutions are customer-centric, compliant, and aligned with responsible AI principles.

The role supports the design, configuration, development, testing, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of enterprise AI solutions. It also contributes to responsible AI governance, documentation, user training, implementation projects, and ongoing collaboration across business and technical teams. The position follows a hybrid schedule connected to Itron’s Austin, Texas location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Human Resources Technology, Business Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience in technology, business systems, analytics, automation, HR technology, AI solutions, or related fields.
• Understanding of generative AI concepts and large language model capabilities.
• Experience using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, or similar technologies.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule connected to Itron’s Austin, TX location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and configuring AI-powered solutions using approved enterprise platforms and tools.
• Support the development of conversational agents, copilots, automation workflows, and knowledge-grounded AI experiences.
• Partner with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and employee experience teams to identify opportunities for AI to improve workforce productivity, employee experience, knowledge access, and operational efficiency.
• Create prompts, instructions, knowledge structures, and test scenarios to improve AI solution performance.
• Perform solution testing, validation, evaluation, and user acceptance activities.
• Monitor solution usage and performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Contribute to responsible AI reviews, governance processes, risk assessments, and documentation requirements.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and adoption resources.
• Participate in implementation projects and deliver assigned work within established timelines and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve solution gaps.
• Maintain documentation related to architecture decisions, configurations, and operating procedures.
• Stay informed about emerging AI capabilities and recommend practical applications for business needs.
