About The Position

Confiz is seeking an AI Solutions Architect with a strong engineering mindset and a customer-first approach. The role calls for a Forward Deployed Engineer mindset: working directly in customer environments to understand business challenges, navigate existing architectures, and independently deliver scalable AI-driven solutions. The position is hybrid, with onsite work four days per week and remote work on Fridays. The stated work schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PT.

The architect will design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and enterprise solutions using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, AWS, and Databricks. The role combines customer-facing solution delivery with hands-on work across generative AI, data platforms, backend systems, APIs, microservices, and full-stack applications. The architect will also communicate project progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive work to completion in ambiguous environments.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in AI engineering, solution architecture, or full-stack development.
• Hands-on programming expertise in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience in customer-facing engineering roles, such as Forward Deployed Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, microservices, and system integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and cloud-native deployments.
• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and approaches, including LLMs, LangChain, RAG, and AI agents.
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience deploying production-grade AI or enterprise solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-powered applications and enterprise solutions using Python, JavaScript, AWS, and Databricks.
• Work directly with customer engineering teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions in real time.
• Translate business challenges into scalable technical architectures using major cloud platforms.
• Build intelligent workflows and applications using Generative AI, LLMs, LangChain, RAG, and AI agents.
• Develop data-driven backend solutions using Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
• Build full-stack applications, APIs, and microservices using React, Node.js, FastAPI, or Django.
• Navigate technical ambiguity independently and drive solutions to completion.
• Communicate project progress effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
