AI Product Manager - Montreal, QC

Flight CentreQuebec, QC
CA$100,000 - CA$110,000Onsite

About The Position

We're opening up Sam and Mel. As Product Manager for the headless initiative, you'll own the strategy for exposing our agentic assistants' booking, servicing, proactive, and profile capabilities to other agents, platforms, and customer environments through protocols such as MCP, A2A, and ACP. This is a unique platform product management opportunity where you'll build products consumed by developers, partners, and autonomous agents rather than a single end-user interface. You'll work closely with Forward Deployed Engineering, design, commercial teams, and enterprise customers to shape how our agent capabilities are discovered, adopted, and integrated. If you're excited by emerging AI ecosystems, platform strategy, and solving real-world integration challenges, this role offers the chance to define a rapidly evolving product space.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering SaaS, platform, API, or integration products.
  • Strong experience building products consumed by developers, partners, or other technology platforms.
  • Understanding of AI and LLM application patterns including agents, orchestration, and tool calling.
  • Strong customer discovery, user research, and problem-framing skills.
  • Proven ability to make data-informed product decisions and validate assumptions through experimentation.
  • Experience managing backlogs, roadmaps, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with customers, partners, and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts with engineering teams and understand API and integration design.
  • Experience working across distributed and international teams.
  • High comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience with ProductBoard, Shortcut, Jira, or similar product planning tools.
  • Ability to read API documentation and assess integration approaches.
  • Bilingual French/English required, due to the nature of the role of dealing with both English and French clients and suppliers and team members

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MCP, A2A, and ACP concepts and emerging agent interoperability standards is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with observability and analytics platforms such as Langfuse or Datadog is an asset.
  • Experience in travel technology or the corporate travel industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for the headless versions of Sam and Mel, aligning priorities with the broader ASI portfolio and commercial goals.
  • Define which agent capabilities are exposed, through which protocols (MCP, A2A, ACP), and in what sequence.
  • Balance interoperability, openness, safety, and product differentiation in the evolution of our agent platform.
  • Partner with enterprise and pilot customers to understand integration needs and translate them into clear product requirements.
  • Lead product discovery activities to ensure strong problem definition before engineering commitment.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage epics, stories, and acceptance criteria for protocol wrappers, adapters, and API surfaces.
  • Own and continuously prioritize the product backlog based on customer, market, and business priorities.
  • Manage planning and delivery workflows using ProductBoard, Shortcut, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria prior to release.
  • Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering, design, product marketing, and commercial teams to deliver production-ready integrations.
  • Develop the partner and developer adoption strategy for agent capabilities.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, trade-offs, risks, and progress to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering to define access models, governance frameworks, and capability permissions.
  • Ensure security, access controls, and governance considerations are incorporated into product requirements.
  • Use data, experimentation, and customer feedback to inform decisions and validate product direction.
  • Work effectively across international teams and time zones in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
