About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an AI Product Area Owner (Lead Product Manager) to join its Banking Operations Strategy and Transformation Department. The role manages product area strategy and aligns product objectives with key results. It owns feature roadmaps and product-area backlog prioritization, incorporating product strategy, capacity planning, and product OKRs. The position reviews complex product lines and services, implements change delivery solutions for technology process work, and makes decisions in complex situations involving global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impacts. It also oversees risk management, drives initiatives, collaborates with business and delivery stakeholders, leads projects or teams, mentors less experienced staff, and identifies product enhancements that meet business needs. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires residence within a reasonable commute of one of the listed Wells Fargo locations. Travel of 10% is expected. Relocation assistance is unavailable, and the position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, or change delivery, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to analyze complex products, services, and business requirements to identify solutions and drive outcomes.
Experience managing competing priorities and making sound decisions in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of risk management, governance, and regulatory requirements impacting product development and delivery.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading product strategy, roadmap development, and backlog prioritization in an Agile environment.
Strong knowledge of product management principles, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), feature planning, and capacity management.
Certification in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Agile methodologies, Product Management, or related disciplines.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and product delivery lifecycles.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring or coaching team members.
Experience in financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

Manage product area strategy and align Product Objectives to product area key results.
Own the feature roadmap, incorporating product strategy and capacity planning.
Prioritize product area backlog features based on product OKRs.
Review and analyze complex major product lines and services.
Implement change delivery solutions for portfolio technology-process work of low to moderate complexity.
Make decisions in complex situations involving global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impact.
Oversee risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
Collaborate with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery teams to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
Lead projects or teams, or mentor less experienced staff.
Identify and recommend product enhancements that meet business needs.
Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, product owners, business analysts, and production managers.
Lead AI readiness for business adoption of technology changes and provide AI adoption strategies for business lines within the assigned product area.
Partner with technology, business, and operational teams to deliver product enhancements and process improvements.
Influence stakeholders, build consensus, and communicate across organizational levels.
Identify opportunities for innovation, process optimization, and customer-focused product enhancements.
