About The Position

The AI Platform Engineer Intern will assist Docusign’s Cloud Platform and Services team in unlocking AI capabilities within foundational platforms. The intern will contribute to projects that develop AI solutions to improve employee and developer experiences, including researching and implementing AI-driven search functionality, optimizing data retrieval, and identifying ways to use AI to improve employee engagement and productivity.

The Cloud Platform and Services team builds, maintains, and operates scalable technology and data solutions. It uses Agile principles, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code to support secure growth and reliability. This is a 9.5-month internship and an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, DevOps Engineering. The position is hybrid, with at least two days per week in an office; the weekly in-office expectation may vary by team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Expected to graduate in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), artificial intelligence, and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without current or future sponsorship; the role is not eligible for CPT, OPT, or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training opportunities to learn about employee experience and AI technologies and tools.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and insights related to AI and employee experience.
• Stay current on AI/ML technologies and trends to research innovative tools that enhance employee experience and align with the voice of the customer.
• Contribute to AI solutions for employee and developer experience, including AI-driven search and improved data retrieval.
• Develop AI capabilities intended to streamline processes, personalize interactions, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
