About The Position

Apprenticely is partnering with Caddell Reynolds to offer an AI Operations Intern position in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a three-month program designed to provide IT experience under the guidance of a professional mentor and IT support team, serving as an on-ramp to an IT career. Caddell Reynolds, a firm with over 30 years of experience representing injured and disabled Arkansans, is investing in AI to enhance its services and modernize case management systems. The AI Operations Intern will be instrumental in this effort, developing practical workflows, gaining expertise with AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, and transforming case information into actionable material for the team. No legal or coding background is required. The role involves information distillation, auditing case management systems, building AI-assisted workflows, drafting client communications, documenting procedures, evaluating new AI tools, and developing simple dashboards. This is a supervised, non-legal support role where the intern will not practice law or provide legal advice. Discretion with confidential client information is a core expectation.

Requirements

  • Current Arkansas state resident
  • Ability to pass a standard background check
  • Ability to work 32-40 hours a week, during and following the three-month internship
  • Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship
  • High curiosity and interest in learning new technologies and growing or starting your IT career
  • Technical aptitude exhibited through projects, experience, or online learning and the ability to communicate what you know

Responsibilities

  • Auditing and organizing the case management system to ensure files, deadlines, and client records are complete and accurate
  • Building AI-assisted workflows to process medical records, intake calls, and case documents, allowing attorneys to focus on casework
  • Drafting client updates and status communications for attorney review and approval
  • Documenting workflows and procedures to improve efficiency on future cases
  • Participating in intake and case review meetings and preparing follow-up summaries
  • Evaluating new AI tools and reporting findings and recommendations to the team
  • Developing simple dashboards to track case status and identify process bottlenecks
