AI Native Developer
About The Position
ISHIR is hiring a Senior AI Native Developer for a long-term, on-site client engagement in the restaurant technology space, based in Plano, Texas. The role combines hands-on senior software engineering with a client-embedded technical liaison function, blending responsibilities associated with a Product Owner and Technical Lead. The developer will work alongside the client's CTO and stakeholders and coordinate with ISHIR's India-based development team. The position is suited to someone who can navigate ambiguity, translate business requirements into delivered software, communicate with executive stakeholders, and build production-grade AI features. The developer serves as the primary on-site technical contact for the engagement, represents ISHIR's delivery team, facilitates product discovery and requirements refinement, and helps review architecture. The role also involves day-to-day client relationship ownership, agile delivery coordination, and proactively communicating progress, risks, and decisions. Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years building AI/ML or LLM-integrated products.
- Ability to work directly with clients and participate comfortably in executive meetings and boardroom-level presentations.
- Strong full-stack background, including React or an equivalent frontend technology.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI, including prompt engineering, RAG, and tool/function calling.
- Solid agile delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and coordination of distributed engineering teams.
- US-based and able to travel on-site to client locations, primarily in the Dallas, Texas area.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a client-facing technical lead, senior Product Owner, or solutions architect capacity at a services or consulting firm.
- Familiarity with restaurant technology, hospitality SaaS, or B2B platform products.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments; Azure is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen.
- Anthropic Claude Certified Architect (CCA-F) certification or equivalent AI platform certification.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site technical contact for the client engagement.
- Attend client stand-ups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder sessions.
- Represent ISHIR's delivery team and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to CTO- and CFO-level stakeholders.
- Facilitate on-site product discovery, requirements refinement, and architecture review sessions.
- Own the day-to-day client relationship and proactively flag issues before they escalate.
- Translate business requirements into shipped code and develop production-grade AI features.
- Coordinate agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and distributed engineering teams.
