About The Position

SnapSoft is hiring a fully remote AI/ML Solutions Architect based in the United States or in Brazil or Argentina. The role sits within SnapSoft's AI/ML Service Line and focuses on designing and delivering AI and data solutions for international client projects. The architect owns end-to-end solution architecture, makes technical decisions, and leads project teams of two to three engineers. Current projects include agentic automation, LLM-based RAG systems, vector databases, and integrating AI into existing client application landscapes. Solutions are developed from proof of concept through MVP to production, with emphasis on rapid iteration and real-world use.

This is a client-facing consulting position that works closely with Application Development and Cloud Migration colleagues, as well as PMO, Sales, and Presales teams. Approximately 20% of the role supports presales activities, including technical discovery, solution design, and estimation. The schedule requires daily overlap with North American client hours and a few hours of overlap with the Hungarian delivery team. Occasional travel to Hungary or client sites may occur.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience, including recent hands-on AI project work, with a background in AI/ML, data, or backend engineering.
• Previous experience in an architect role; this should not be the candidate's first architect position.
• Hands-on experience with both generative AI and classic machine learning solutions.
• Strong AWS experience, including Amazon Bedrock, and experience with some of SageMaker, Glue, MWAA, EMR, RDS, Aurora, S3, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with the generative AI ecosystem, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, agent frameworks, LLM provider SDKs, or Pydantic.
• Solid understanding of LLM application concepts, including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool calling, agent patterns, prompt engineering, and evaluation.
• Good command of SQL and working knowledge of data engineering concepts such as ETL, pipelines, and data modelling.
• Proven experience designing, consuming, and integrating APIs, and connecting AI services to existing systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a consulting mindset, business acumen, and comfort working in client-facing situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work in US time zones, with a few hours of overlap with the Hungarian team.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification or another AWS Professional/Specialty certification.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
• Background at an AWS partner or another professional services company similar to SnapSoft.
• Experience with multiple cloud providers or cloud-agnostic work.
• Pre-sales engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI/ML solution architecture on client projects, make key technical decisions, and drive delivery.
• Advise clients on business problems and recommend best-fit technology solutions.
• Support presales activities, including technical discovery, solution design, and estimation.
• Technically lead a team of two to three AI and cloud engineers, and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues.
• Design and build agentic systems that plan, call tools, and automate business workflows.
• Develop LLM-powered applications and RAG pipelines, including chunking, embedding, retrieval, evaluation, and iteration.
• Work with vector databases and search, including indexing strategies, hybrid and semantic search, and relevance tuning.
• Perform prompt engineering, model selection, and systematic evaluation of LLM outputs.
• Develop scalable services implementing AI/ML functionality and build Python services and supporting data flows.
• Build ingestion, transformation, and document-preparation workflows, including AI-driven data access such as Text2SQL.
• Integrate AI services with external systems through APIs, authentication, webhooks, and third-party or client SaaS platforms.
• Implement AI solutions on AWS using services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and Textract.
• Describe infrastructure as code with Terraform (Terragrunt) or AWS CloudFormation, and design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Stay current with AWS innovations and contribute to AWS Competency and Service Delivery Programs supporting SnapSoft's AWS Partner journey.
