About The Position

Wipro Limited is seeking an AI Lead to develop minimum viable products and comprehensive AI solutions that meet client expectations and deliver business value. The role involves developing product strategies and AI models, assessing use cases, integrating solutions with broader interfaces, and implementing security features. The AI Lead also works with clients and internal teams on product design, requirements, demonstrations, and feedback. Team leadership responsibilities include workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, training, career development, performance management, and employee engagement. In the Delaware-based role, the AI Lead contributes to prompt engineering and AI-powered workflow development, and supports deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production AI models. The role collaborates with data scientists and engineers on AI integration, performs data preprocessing and feature engineering, develops APIs, and participates in code reviews, testing, and documentation. The position requires keeping up with developments in generative AI and sharing relevant learnings with the team.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience.
Generative AI is a mandatory skill.
Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, and workflow orchestration.
Exposure to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and basic knowledge of hybrid search techniques.
Exposure to multi-agent systems.
Understanding of model deployment and containerization, including Docker.
Proficiency in Python for AI development, data preprocessing, and scripting.
Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
Awareness of AI compliance, data privacy, and responsible AI principles.

Nice To Haves

Experience with generative AI tools such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or LlamaIndex.
Hands-on experience with at least one major machine learning framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras (listed as advantageous).

Responsibilities

Manage product and solution development using appropriate AI techniques.
Lead development and implementation of custom solutions using modern AI technology.
Review use cases and determine whether a product can add business value.
Create product development strategies and integrate solutions with larger interfaces.
Create AI models and frameworks to address business problems.
Analyze technology environments and client requirements to define AI product solutions.
Implement security features to meet product requirements.
Review use cases and identify relevant AI technologies for product development.
Identify problem areas, conduct root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
Track industry and application trends and relate them to current and future AI needs.
Create and delegate work plans to the programming team.
Share knowledge and best practices with the Holmes advisory board.
Develop and maintain relationships with strategic client partners and decision makers.
Consult with clients on product design and participate in client discussions to gather product insights.
Coordinate with delivery and business teams and respond to RFP and client requirements.
Assist with product demonstrations and collect client feedback.
Design presentations for seminars, meetings, and enclaves focused on the product.
Forecast team talent needs, hire appropriate resources, and manage onboarding and training.
Develop internal talent and support career progression; manage team attrition and diversity in leadership.
Set team goals, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure Performance Nxt is followed.
Lead team engagement initiatives and monitor satisfaction scores.
Contribute to prompt engineering and development of AI-powered workflows.
Assist with deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models in production environments.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI capabilities.
Perform data preprocessing and feature engineering, and develop APIs for AI applications.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Stay current with generative AI advancements and share relevant learnings with the team.
