About The Position

Bring your curiosity, creativity, and interest in artificial intelligence to a hands-on team project with Visions Federal Credit Union. As an AI Lab Micro-Intern, you will work with other students to design and demonstrate a mock AI-powered assistant that helps hiring managers review resume alignment and prepare structured interview questions. You will gain practical experience while learning how privacy, fairness, transparency, and human oversight shape responsible AI solutions.

Requirements

• Are a Passaic County Community College student accepted into the Sprinternship.
• Are interested in AI, technology, business, human resources, data, process improvement, or a related field.
• Enjoy researching, writing, organizing information, and solving problems.
• Are comfortable learning new digital tools and testing different approaches.
• Can work collaboratively, meet project milestones, and use feedback to improve your work.
• Can bring a personal laptop that connects to Wi-Fi and supports a standard browser, documents, and presentations.
• Can follow privacy, confidentiality, project-boundary, and responsible-AI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Explore how AI can support a realistic business process without replacing human judgment.
• Turn job requirements into clear, structured criteria and an explainable alignment rubric.
• Write and test AI instructions that identify resume evidence and create interview-preparation materials.
• Build a mock workflow using approved tools such as guided prompts, spreadsheets, low-code tools, clickable mock-ups, or a simple web-based demonstration.
• Test synthetic candidate scenarios for consistency, clarity, fairness, and unsupported conclusions.
• Document findings, improvements, safeguards, and recommendations.
• Help present the team’s final prototype and lessons learned.
