Requirements

  • Experience in project leadership, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or emerging technology implementations.
  • Technical proficiency in software development or scripting sufficient to read, test, and evaluate code quality — ability to independently validate vendor deliverables without relying solely on vendor-provided testing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and familiarity with MES or CMMS platforms is a plus.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • JavaScript / TypeScript – for web-based AI interfaces, front-end tooling, and API integrations
  • Python – the primary language of AI/ML development; familiarity with libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, and Hugging Face preferred
  • C# – for enterprise application integration and .NET-based manufacturing systems
  • Prompt Engineering – ability to design, test, and evaluate prompts used in LLM-based applications
  • Version Control (Git) – ability to navigate repositories, review pull requests, and track code changes
  • Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – familiarity with cloud-hosted AI services and deployment environments commonly used in enterprise LLM solutions

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of the Smart Factory Implementation Program across all five phases from initiation through deployment and support under the direction of the Director of Technology.
  • Serve as technical point of contact with external vendors and development partners responsible for software development and technical delivery.
  • Execute the implementation and rollout of AI technologies across manufacturing operations including machine health monitoring, vision inspection systems, ERP/MES integrations, and customer-facing AI tools.
  • Contribute to status reports and project updates prepared for senior management, including phase-by-phase milestone tracking against the program roadmap.
  • Drive internal adoption by supporting training and onboarding of key staff on new AI tools and systems.
  • Track and report on project timelines and milestones, flag risks to the Director of Technology.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between software systems and internal operational teams.
  • Review and quality-check code and technical deliverables produced by vendors, ensuring output meets functional requirements, internal standards, and performance expectations prior to deployment.
  • Coordinate integrations between AI systems and existing platforms including NetSuite ERP, MES, Fiix CMMS, and OPC Server / PLC infrastructure.
  • Willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation.
  • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities.
  • Assist other team members as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
