About The Position

This role sits at the heart of one of the most ambitious AI transformation efforts underway in private equity. You’ll work directly with NAPE deal teams to redesign how they source, diligence, and make investment decisions using AI — not by telling them what to do, but by building things that make their work genuinely better and ensuring those tools actually get used. While fully dedicated to the NAPE business, you will be part of the larger Bain Capital Data Science & AI Team, a group of data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, and business analysts building AI products and driving key AI initiatives across all Bain Capital businesses. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, the visibility to influence senior decision-makers, and the opportunity to stay at the forefront of rapidly evolving AI technologies, all while helping transform how the team invests. Impact: Influence on how a multi-billion-dollar investment team works, with a mandate to innovate. Breadth: Exposure to every stage of the investment process and to senior investors from day one. Autonomy: Freedom to experiment, fail fast, and build what matters. Learning Curve: Continuous access to frontier AI technologies and real-world use cases few other environments can offer. Apprenticeship: You will learn and be mentored by top-tier AI practitioners and investors, offering great opportunities to grow your career and develop your skills at the intersection of AI and investing. Global footprint: The PE initiative spans NAPE, EU, and Asia. While based in Boston, in this role you will have the opportunity to travel and embed yourself with deal teams in London and across Asia as the initiative scales globally.
