About The Position

The AI Engineer will work in Infosys’ Strategic Technology Group (STG), a unit for experienced technologists addressing complex, large-scale technology challenges. STG works across software development, cloud-native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, generative AI, and agentic AI. Team members contribute technical expertise, architectural judgment, hands-on leadership, mentoring, and influence over best practices. In the Specialist Programmer role, the engineer analyzes user stories and use cases, contributes to design specifications and technology frameworks, and develops optimized, production-ready code. The position supports reusable assets, automation, debugging, technical quality, knowledge transfer, prototypes, proofs of concept, deployment, testing, production issue resolution, and customer warranty support. The role also involves collaboration with teams and clients, risk mitigation, and adoption of emerging technologies. The engineer develops generative-AI applications and agents, including single- and multi-agent architectures, agent orchestration, MCP integrations, reusable AI Skills, Managed Agents, and RAG solutions. Responsibilities span the AI development lifecycle, from data preparation and model training through evaluation, optimization, and deployment. The role also promotes responsible AI practices focused on bias mitigation, fairness, and explainability. The position is based in Tampa, Florida, and may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
