•$120,500 - $231,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Verizon is hiring an AI Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize Generative AI solutions that reduce friction in its Go-To-Market (GTM) engine. The role focuses on building agentic workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems that use Foundation Models to create AI-native tools for sales and marketing teams. The AI Engineer will build LLM-powered features and autonomous agents, connect proprietary GTM information to models through RAG pipelines, and rapidly prototype solutions for lead enrichment, personalized outreach, and CRM automation. The role also integrates AI workflows with sales platforms and develops production-grade infrastructure for AI orchestration, prompt management, low-latency streaming APIs, and model evaluation. The engineer is expected to use AI-native development tools to prototype and deploy full-stack MVPs quickly. The successful candidate is a proactive builder with a hacker mindset and interest in revenue operations. They bridge model capabilities and polished tools for sales teams, iterate quickly, and address the challenge of making non-deterministic AI outputs useful in high-stakes, real-time environments. This is a hybrid position with a defined work location, working from home and at least three days per week in the office. The manager sets the office location. The scheduled workweek is 40 hours.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience, military experience, or specialized training.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript and experience building web services or integrating complex APIs, especially CRM, VoIP, or sales engagement platforms.
  • Solid understanding of the LLM stack and experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, Strands Agents, or CrewAI.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and the differences between fine-tuning and RAG.
  • Experience with standard software development tools such as Git and Docker, and CI/CD processes.
  • Product-oriented, revenue-focused mindset and ability to understand BDR workflows and design AI outputs that are actionable during live calls.

Nice To Haves

  • Domain expertise in Go-To-Market, RevOps, or sales technology stacks such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Apollo, or Clearbit.
  • Experience building real-time audio or speech-to-text processing pipelines, such as with WebRTC, Deepgram, or Whisper, for live transcription and analysis.
  • Comfort working with code the candidate did not write, generating code with AI, and refining it precisely.
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects or a portfolio of weekend prototypes built with an AI-native toolchain.
  • Exposure to cloud-based AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio, or GCP Vertex AI.
  • Experience with vector databases and semantic search.
  • Experience with AI evaluation and observability tools.
  • Knowledge of agentic design patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement RAG pipelines that connect proprietary data, including playbooks, product documentation, and successful call transcripts, to large language models for accurate, context-aware outputs.
  • Identify GTM friction points and rapidly prototype AI solutions for lead enrichment, personalized outreach, and CRM automation.
  • Integrate AI workflows into sales platforms such as Salesforce and Gong to support adoption by sales representatives.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade AI orchestration infrastructure, including prompt management, low-latency streaming APIs, and model evaluation frameworks.
  • Use rapid prototyping tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Lovable, and LangSmith Agent Builder to build and deploy full-stack MVPs.
