About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join a fast-paced banking environment on a contract basis. This role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions that enhance customer experience, optimize operations, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, domain knowledge in banking or financial services, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or related roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python (and/or Java/Scala).
• Proven experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience building and deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Prior experience in banking or financial services, with understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience with SQL and working with structured/unstructured datasets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, or Generative AI use cases.
• Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming frameworks (Kafka, Flink).
• Exposure to risk analytics, credit scoring models, or fraud detection systems.
• Experience with feature engineering, model explainability, and ethical AI practices.
• Certification in cloud platforms or AI/ML specialization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI models for real-world banking use cases (fraud detection, risk modeling, personalization, NLP-driven insights).
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ML workflows using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize model performance, accuracy, and scalability; monitor and retrain models in production environments.
• Implement best practices in MLOps, including CI/CD pipelines, versioning, testing, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards in the banking domain.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentorship where needed.
