About The Position

Persistent is seeking an Agentic AI Developer to design and develop production-grade Agentic AI solutions that enhance automation capabilities. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable solutions and ensuring AI agents are reliable and perform well. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to implementation, production stabilization, and ongoing improvement of agent behavior and workflows.

Requirements

• 4–9 years of software development experience with strong Python skills.
• Hands-on experience in Agentic AI or GenAI application development.
• Experience with Google ADK or comparable agent frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Prompt Engineering and Context Engineering.
• Experience with agent/tool orchestration and workflow design.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, SQL/databases, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including Git, unit testing, debugging, exception handling, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with technical UAT and production troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with LangGraph and LangChain.
• Familiarity with banking/SOR systems.
• Knowledge of LexisNexis and Devin.
• Experience with CI/CD and QA automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade Agentic AI solutions using Python and Google ADK.
• Build reusable agents, tools, prompts, context-management components, and orchestration workflows.
• Translate business and process requirements into scalable automation solutions.
• Integrate agents with Systems of Record (SORs), REST APIs, databases, and legacy banking systems.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, technical User Acceptance Testing (UAT), debugging, and production deployment.
• Troubleshoot and tune agent behavior, prompts, context, integrations, and workflows to improve accuracy and reliability.
• Develop reusable patterns and components and support production stabilization.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), SOR Engineers, and platform teams.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation.
