About The Position

Entrust is seeking an AI Developer Intern to work on practical artificial intelligence projects. The intern will collaborate with business stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for AI solutions, develop and optimize AI applications, and contribute to AI workflows and automated testing. The role includes backend scripting with GraphQL, development and testing improvements, documentation, and evaluation processes to help ensure reliable, production-quality outcomes. The intern will work closely with a Solution and UX Architect to build intelligent, user-friendly experiences. The position is hybrid, with three days per week in the office at Entrust’s headquarters in Shakopee, Minnesota, or fully remote in Germany. Candidates must be juniors or seniors by December 2025, have a GPA of at least 3.0, and be pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. The listed compensation range is $23–$26 per hour, with actual compensation based on location, education, skills, and experience.

Requirements

Be a junior or senior by December 2025.
Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Have experience with development frameworks such as Vue.js, React, and Node.js.
Be familiar with how LLMs work, prompt engineering, context engineering, and fine-tuning.
Be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-directed.
Have a good understanding of key AI frameworks and the ability to adapt them to business problems.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work collaboratively as a team player.

Nice To Haves

Have completed at least one front-end project using Vue.js or React and be able to share a demonstration.
Have completed at least one smart application project and be able to share a demonstration.
Have familiarity with cloud DevOps, MLOps, or AIOps.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
Develop, deploy, and optimize AI applications by writing scripts and code.
Create backend scripts using GraphQL to support data-driven functionalities.
Write and maintain code that accelerates development and streamlines testing.
Design AI workflows using single-agent and multi-agent architectures.
Document development work to support clarity, transparency, and continuity.
Develop automated testing frameworks based on agent vision modules.
Design evaluation processes to maintain consistency and production-quality standards.
Work with the Solution and UX Architect to deliver intelligent, user-friendly experiences.
