About The Position

Under the direction of the Director, Institutional Information Products, the AI Content Licensing Product Manager manages AI content licensing product strategy in a rapidly evolving area. The role delivers solutions that bring peer-reviewed IEEE research into AI research assistants, discovery platforms, enterprise AI systems, and agentic workflows, while helping IEEE remain an authoritative source for technical researchers in AI-mediated experiences. It also strengthens customer relationships and supports commercial sustainability in this emerging area. This is a fully remote opportunity. The Product Manager supports product strategy, vision, and roadmaps for agentic retrieval and orchestration, including product portfolio development. The role manages the data licensing roadmap and API access request process; develops business requirements and owns product work in the SCRUM workflow; and translates validated market expectations into requirements with clear acceptance criteria. It works with customers, partners, Sales, Legal & Compliance, Information Technology, and other teams on opportunities, agreements, content delivery, product decisions, and launches. The position also supports attribution, link-back, and provenance standards for AI tools displaying IEEE content, as well as market expectations for Model Context Protocol (MCP) access.

  • Successful go-to-market and product launch experience.
  • Ability to foster a data-driven culture across a team.
  • Comfort with rapid prototyping and ability to build proofs of concept and validate ideas alongside engineering and data science teams.
  • Technical fluency, sound analytical judgment, ability to reason about system boundaries and trade-offs, contribute to architecture discussions, and engage credibly with AI researchers, engineers, and platform teams.
