About The Position

The AI & Automation Product Line Executive is accountable for Truist’s enterprise compute, infrastructure automation, and AI enabled platform capabilities. This role owns strategy, product lifecycle, engineering, operations, financial performance, and vendor partnerships for compute and automation products delivered through the enterprise hosting services catalog. This executive operates as a general manager, responsible for transforming compute and infrastructure engineering into product-based, API-driven, and infrastructure-as-code/data platforms, while embedding security, resiliency, and regulatory controls by design. The role leads large-scale, cross functional teams through a blended matrix model and partners closely with CTO, Business, Risk, Cyber, Architecture, and Finance to deliver measurable enterprise outcomes in a highly regulated environment. This leader will require direct and matrix leadership of large enterprise-wide teams, along with deep technical and business acumen

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Eight years progressive related experience in managing enterprise technology organizations combined with overall twelve years progressive related experience in enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology organization management, financial management, risk management, people management, issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects.
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments.
  • Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of work (e.g., MBA). PMP and/or PgMP.
  • Experience in enterprise technology organizational leadership. Financial services technology experience highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for the AI, Automation, and Compute Product Line, including organizational leadership and budget accountability.
  • Define and execute the enterprise compute and automation product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap.
  • Own P&L accountability, including unit economics, cost transparency, consumption models, and investment prioritization.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, benchmarks, and performance metrics to ensure availability, resiliency, security, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Lead enterprise transformation to infrastructure‑as‑code, infrastructure‑as‑data, and AI‑enabled automation using agile, product‑based delivery models.
  • Establish and govern standardized automation, orchestration, and AI platforms enabling scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure delivery.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure regulatory, security, and resiliency requirements are embedded into platform designs.
  • Oversee enterprise vendor relationships and strategic partnerships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
  • Drive go‑to‑market strategy and lifecycle management for SKU‑based compute and automation products.
  • Build executive bench-strength through talent development, succession planning, and culture leadership across compute and automation domains.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the domain.
  • Provide mentorship & development across the networking domain at Truist to ensure a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with career progression and well thought out succession planning.
